Session 9 Overview

Connected to the shift towards more meaningful goals, the ICBIEP process is also aiming to shift to more meaningful assessment.

In this session we’ll look at how evidence for IEP goals can be student centered, authentic to inclusive learning experiences, and triangulated in qualitative ways. Assessment practices that are good for all students, is the aim.

Joining in to help us with this conversation is the incredible author of the book “Softening the Edges: Assessment practices that honor K-12 Teachers and Learners,” Katie White. Katie has a passion for helping educators develop a personalized understanding of the connections between curriculum, assessment, and instruction and creative approaches for reaching and teaching every single learner in every single classroom.
